The union between the new and the recovery: A made-to-measure ecological kitchen
For rent, News
The kitchen is the heart of the home, the place where meals are prepared, guests are welcomed and moments of conviviality are shared. For this reason, the kitchen must be functional, comfortable and in harmony with the style and tastes of the owners. But how to create a custom kitchen without spending a fortune? The solution may be to use recycled materials, they help reduce the environmental impact and give a touch of originality and personality to the kitchen.
For custom-made kitchens, there are some important characteristics to evaluate which determine their quality and consequently the final purchase price. In particular:
Quality of materials
Type of finishes
Quality of appliances
One of the advantages when creating a made-to-measure kitchen is the possibility of exploiting the available space down to the last centimetre, such as, for example, the creation of front pull-out drawers and full-extension angular drawers (Space corner) where the is exploited optimally and the objects can be reached with a single gesture.

While creating
The choice of materials
An example of a custom kitchen with recycled material is the one we show you in this article. All the fronts of the drawers and the doors of the side columns have been recovered from old shutters, i.e. the wooden shutters typical of rural houses. The worktop is made entirely from old mason’s boards cut, assembled and fixed on a metal structure. The result is a robust, resistant top with a rustic charm. The bespoke kitchen with recycled material is characterized by its vintage style, which recalls the atmosphere of country houses. The reclaimed wood creates an interesting contrast with the modern appliances, striking a balance between the antique and the contemporary. The bespoke kitchen with recycled material is also an ecological kitchen, which makes the most of available resources and reduces the waste of materials. Furthermore, it is a unique and unrepeatable cuisine, which reflects the personality and creativity of the owners.
The design
To create a bespoke kitchen, the most important phase is the planning. In fact, this allows you to take advantage of every useful centimeter for the arrangement of furniture, appliances, wall units and accessory elements that make the kitchen aesthetically beautiful but also comfortable, practical and functional.
The starting point for designing a kitchen are the measurements of the walls, any pillars, the position of the openings (doors and windows) and whether there are exposed beams or lowered roofs.
The position of the water drain and electrical sockets, on which the position of the sink and the various appliances will depend.
Once the measurements of the cooking area have been established, it is necessary to know the dimensions of the individual pieces to be combined such as the wall units, the drawers, the hob and the appliances.
Creating personalized furniture is not just a matter of size, but also of inventiveness and creativity to better adapt to the taste and style of the location.
We have the possibility to create various types of lamps and light points, or customized furnishing accessories that refer to the style of industrial design and modern art of the post-war period and the 60s; unique and significant objects as evidence of a wonderful synthesis of antiques and modern design.
If you too want to create a custom kitchen with recycled material, you can be inspired by this example!
